Vitor Peres

Vitor Peres, originally from Americana, São Paulo, started his Jiu-Jitsu journey at 8, guided by his father, João Peres, a Jiu-Jitsu instructor. Throughout his career, Vitor has trained with various top academies, becoming a key member of their competition teams.

In 2017, Vitor moved to Las Vegas and trained under Robert Drysdale, winning IBJJF championships in the blue belt juvenile and adult divisions. In 2019, after returning to Brazil and his father’s academy, he won the IBJJF Brazilian No-Gi Championship in the purple belt adult division.

In 2021, Vitor moved to Belo Horizonte, trained under Felipe Pena, and later returned to the U.S. He now trains with Ulpiano Malachias in Houston, Texas, and is a top black belt, contributing his experience to classes.

Bruno Matias

Bruno Matias, born in 1999 in Arcoverde, Pernambuco, started martial arts as a kid to manage his hyperactivity, practicing capoeira, judo, and Jiu-Jitsu. At 17, he earned a scholarship at Felipe Pena’s prestigious project, where he stood out in the Brazilian circuit and earned his brown belt. Thanks to the Golden Team’s network, Matias moved to Texas and joined Gracie Barra Westchase. In 2021, he was promoted to black belt by Ulpiano Malachias.

Servando Almaraz

Servando Almaraz is in his 11th year of coaching at Gracie Barra Westchase. He began wrestling in Washington, later moving to Katy, Texas, where he wrestled for Morton Ranch High School. After high school, he started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Gracie Barra Westchase and earned his Black Belt in 2021. As head wrestling coach, he has produced national and state champions, including multiple All-Americans, leading teams to numerous championship titles.

Arezou Rastegar

Arezou Rastegar began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in July of 2011 as a student under Professor Ulpiano Malachias at Gracie Barra Westchase along with her (at the time) 10 year old son.
